Salo (sā・lō or say-lo) is not an acronym—it references a character from The Sirens of Titan by Kurt Vonnegut Jr. Salo was an alien stranded on Titan, the largest moon of Saturn. Salo watched as life on Earth grew and evolved, monitoring and analyzing our changing planet.
